PACKAGE

This package consists of: – Our 9-day discovery package in Senegal (Dakar, Saly, and Sine Saloum) – Plus 3 days in lush Casamance.

As large as Belgium itself, Casamance cannot be fully visited in just 3 days. Out of the 9 departments of the region, our journey will allow us to visit only 2: Oussouye and Ziguinchor.

PROGRAM

//DAY 1 to DAY 8: See the 9-day discovery program in Senegal

//DAY 9: Cap Skirring

• Departure from Saly to Cap Skirring by plane

• 12:00: Arrival at Cap Skirring in Casamance. Welcome and hotel check-in.

• 13:00: Relaxing lunch on Cap Skirring beach. Cap Skirring is renowned for its beautiful beaches with endless stretches of fine, clean, and romantic sand.

• 16:00: Departure from the beach to the village of Boukotte, where Amadou the Curator awaits us: Visit to the Kadioute Museum of Boukotte. An exceptional highlight of our Casamance visit. A total immersion into Diola tradition. You may have visited museums before, but the Kadioute Museum will surprise you wonderfully.

• Evening: Dinner, free time, and rest.

//DAY 10: Oussouye and Eloubalir

• 08:00: Breakfast and departure from Cap Skirring to the Kingdom of Oussouye, where His Majesty the King awaits in the sacred forest of the kingdom. Meeting – Conversation – Exchange – Culture – Rhythm and Tradition, etc. We will have the opportunity to discover the daily life of the King of the ancestral Kingdom of Oussouye: a very powerful moment of our stay.

• Next, heading to the Edioungou pier, where Diedhiou and his pirogue await us for a discovery trip through the Bolongs: Destination, the traditional and authentic island of Eloubalir. After 45 minutes of a magnificent journey, Eloubalir rises proudly before us: peaceful, authentic, serene. Eloubalir breathes peace, joy, tranquility, and above all, culture. Papis will welcome us for a cultural and traditional tour of the island, where we will discover the typical architecture of Casamance: The Impluvium House Currently a candidate for UNESCO World Heritage status, these impluvium houses are disappearing due to “modern” urbanization.

• Lunch along the Casamance River in Ziguinchor, the capital. Then a city tour and return to Cap Skirring.

• Evening: Dinner in the city center with traditional Diola entertainment. Local orchestra, dance, and cultural ballets until late.

//DAY 11: Last Day in Casamance

• A well-deserved late morning – waking up leisurely.

• Breakfast at 11:00, followed by pool or beach time.

• Relaxing walk along Cap Skirring beach to enjoy its fine sand and stunning scenery.

• Quiet lunch at the hotel in a relaxed atmosphere.

• 16:00: Departure for Cap Skirring airport and return to Saly.

//DAY 12: End of Stay in Senegal

The only part of the film that truly hurts.

• Relaxed breakfast at the hotel and departure for Diass International Airport.
